Mutt Matters offers science-based, force-free dog training in Singapore. We teach basic canine manners and specialize in modifying canine reactivity and aggression issues.

Our Founder and Chief Dog Trainer, Anna Koo is a multi-credentialed dog trainer and behavior consultant who has gone through the rigors of learning the science of dog training directly from the best teachers and leaders of the dog training world, Jean Donaldson and Pat Miller.

Anna’s journey into dog training started in 2013 when she became an active volunteer with local rescues, doing fostering, rehoming and behavior rehabilitation of rescued street dogs (known as Singapore Specials) for dog shelters and independent rescuers in Singapore. This was when she experienced first-hand the problem of adopted dogs losing their homes due to behavioral issues, especially in relation to aggression. In 2018, Anna gave up her high-flying corporate career and flew to Maryland, U.S. and spent all her savings for 6 months in the U.S. to apprentice and learn the ropes of dog training and modification of canine aggression issues directly from Pat Miller.

Anna then graduated with Honors from the esteemed Academy for Dog Trainers under the tutelage of Jean Donaldson. She also graduated with flying colors from several academies as well as from the apprenticeship program with Pat Miller, and is the only Pat Miller Certified Trainer (PMCT) in Singapore. Anna is also a Certified Professional Dog Trainer (CPDT-KA) and a Certified Canine Behavior Consultant (CBCC-KA).

In Singapore, Anna is an accredited certified dog trainer (AVS-ACDT) by the local government body, the Animal & Veterinary Service (AVS). She is also an approved dog trainer for Project ADORE, a Singapore nation-wide government scheme for rehoming local street dogs into public housing.
